To those of you who are new to mineral makeup, and to those who may be looking for a better product, welcome to Alice Cosmetics. We offer a line of feather-light mineral makeup formulations that lend a beautiful, healthy glow to your complexion—with no sticky or chalky feel and none of the questionable ingredients found in so many other brands. Our mineral makeup is water-resistant and nonreactive, and thus safe for post-laser treatments and acne.
Alice Cosmetics has a realistic, no-nonsense approach to the benefits of mineral makeup. We avoid overstatement and dubious advice. While we may wax eloquent about our luscious eye shadow colors, we stop short of encouraging you to sleep in your makeup or believe that mineral makeup is either a cure for acne or an adequate sunscreen alone.
We also pay particular attention to the application and packaging of our products. We offer a selective range of truly useful colors and products, not a confusing maze of colors. We are especially proud of our exceptional set of custom brushes for applying mineral makeup. Our Mini Miracle Cloth and handy Eye Shadow Guard are aimed at helping you master the application of mineral makeup.
Apart from our high quality mineral cosmetics, the centerpiece of our approach to application is our very own Buff Palette™, a ceramic accessory that makes application a breeze and practically eliminates waste.
Mineral makeup can be messy and tricky to apply properly to achieve that dewy, soft look that mineral makeup is known for. Our Buff Palette™ allows the full brush head to be used and provides the perfect surface for mixing minerals to find your perfect match. It is simply a more elegant way to apply mineral makeup. And the companion brush can be used to sweep excess minerals back into the jar at the "lip" of the palette.
At Alice Cosmetics we also give consideration to appropriate jar sizes, again with an eye to ease of use and eliminating waste. Our cube jar for liner/shadows, for instance, is sized just right with its smaller lid for mixing wet eyeliners. Eye shadows that come in jars larger than necessary have lids that are too big for mixing wet minerals without using them up too quickly.
Our custom brush collection makes the application of mineral makeup easy and efficient. An example is our Face Fluff brush, which has a soft, dome-shaped head that allows the minerals to easily cover areas around the nose, mouth, and eyes.
Our custom brushes, with their stylish, medium-length handles, are handwoven and handmade in the United States by skilled artisans. They are superior to imported brushes in quality, workmanship, and durability. Our brushes are hand cut, not machine cut, and they are densely packed for excellent body. Only the finest quality, first-cut hairs are used for fullness and control, and our handles are made of smooth, close-grained birch wood, finished with five coats of high gloss lacquer.
